We are a
"confessing church" within the Presbyterian Church (USA).
What this means is that we are emphasizing three important themes
from our spiritual heritage.
First,
Jesus Christ is Lord of all and the way to salvation
Second,
the Bible is God's Word, which leads us to Jesus and teaches us the
essentials about faith and life.
Third,
God changes lives, and he promises to help us lead a new life that
pleases him.
-
We hold out a
safety net of care and concern when our members
suffer. We keep the nets of relationships and fellowship mended
and strong for the times when there is an illness, death in the
family, or other difficulties to endure. We have Stephen
Ministry, Deacons, and fellowship groups to keep up on
what is happening in people's lives. We want to be there for
each other and for you.
- We
reach out to our community through many different avenues:
through ministry to Spanish-speaking people who meet on our campus,
through our Mission Department and its local and global
activities, through a joint effort with Mt. Diablo Schools to
sponsor the Senior Activity Center on our campus, through a Christian
Recovery Ministry, and through our licensed Christian Preschool
(see preschool).
