Rev. Bill Azbell - Senior Pastor

Rev. Bill Azbell joined FPCC as our new Senior Pastor effective May 3, 2010.  He comes to us from Zionsville  Presbyterian Church in Zionsville, Indiana, where he has served as their Associate Pastor for Missions. He has also served churches in Colorado, New Jersey, Florida, and Cairo, Egypt. Bill was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University, Tallahassee, with a minor in Russian. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and was ordained as a Presbyterian Minister of Word and Sacrament on September 24, 2000. God has gifted Bill with a deep inner joy and a contagious sense of humor. Bill is supported in ministry by his lovely wife Sharon, who is also an ordained Presbyterian pastor, and their two children.

Jim Cismowski - Minister of Music & Worship

Jim Cismowski earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of the Pacific¹s Conservatory of Music and a Masters in Church Music from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.  He has served in five churches since entering full-time ministry in 1979.  His passion is helping others to worship the Lord with understanding and enthusiasm, especially through dynamic song.  Jim and his wife, Liane, have two adult children.

Matt Mattoon - Director of Family Ministries

Matt Mattoon is a passionate servant of Christ, His Church, and His beloved world. Matt loves hiking, drawing, painting, reading, teaching, and creating elaborate games for his students to play on Wednesday nights at the ROCK / EDGE. More than anything, he enjoys discipling students into the firm understanding of God's love for the world. He is an energetic teacher of Scripture and the history of Christ's Church. Matt uses games, slides, cartoons, skits, and in-depth Bible studies to train students to know Christ and understand their place in God's topsy-turvy Kingdom of Grace. Matt studied history and religion at UC Davis, earned a Master's in theology at Regent College in Vancouver, BC, and recently completed two years of additional graduate studies in theology at Baylor University. Prior to coming to FPCC, he served as a youth intern, a camp director, a homeless advocate, an ESL tutor, and an adult Sunday School teacher. He's a friendly guy and he loves Christ. Robin Stearns - Preschool Director

Robin became has served as our Director of Children's Ministries since July 2010 and has moved into a new role as Preschool Director effective August 2011.  Robin graduated from Saint Mary's College in 2003 with a degree in Liberal and Civic Studies and a minor in Montessori Thought, a certificate in Early Childhood Education, and has worked as a Montessori preschool teacher for several years. Her ten years of work experience at three preschools, along with her volunteer work in ministry to children for twelve years, reflects her passion to work with children. Robin has also served as an elder and Clerk of Session for three years.
