Psalm 98:4 & 8
"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music."
"Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing together for joy"
Perhaps you've been sensing the Lord leading you to join a choir. If that's the case, see below for the lineup of choral opportunities available to you and your family members.

Cathedral Choir (Adults) - Thursdays  7:15 - 9:00 pm
This choir serves as the primary worship choir singing each Sunday and is open to high school age to adult.  Special plans this season include a choir Retreat in November and a special Christmas Program accompanied by a full orchestra.  Stylistically, we strive to perform a broad spectrum of musical styles, from classical to contemporary.

Senior Choir (Senior Adults) - Thursdays 9:45-10:25am followed by class 10:30-11:00am
Two new opportunities for Seniors are are now available in the Sanctuary by FPCC in partnership with the Tuesday morning Concord Adult Activity Center. A new choir, specifically tailored to Seniors, rehearses from 9:45 to 10:25. The choir has gotten off to a good start, and there is certainly room for more—come join us! Following the choir a short class called “Exploring Hymns” meets from 10:30 to 11:00. In this class we will seek to rediscover the enduring legacy of our Christian hymnody.

First Praise Company (Youth) - Wednesdays 5:45 - 6:30pm
All high school and college students are encouraged to join this way-cool group!

King's Kids & SonSeekers (Children) - Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:15 pm
These are our two choirs for children from age four year-olds through junior high.  King's Kids is the younger choir, SonSeekers is for the older kids.  The exact age breakdown will be determined by the age distribution of the participants.

King's Ringers Bell Choir - Thursdays  6:00 - 7:10 pm
We are looking for folks aged high school and older who have at least minimal music-reading skills.  The choir plays occasionally in worship and at some community events.  We start with basics but will introduce more advanced ringing techniques through the year.  The church is blessed with a five octave set of bells and three octave set of tone chimes.

Other Opportunities
Soloists are often sought to offer their talents in worship, representing the congregation to the Lord.  If you feel led to this ministry please talk to Jim Cismowski.
Instrumentalists are needed at various times of the year to possibly play in an orchestra, instrumental ensemble, or as a soloist.  We believe that God gave us instruments as well as voices to sound His praise.  If you are talented in this area please speak to Jim Cismowski.
